#FO Friday – Dawg Pound Reversible Headband & Scarf

I adore this set.  This is a simple striped scarf using Front Post Double Crochet (FPDC).  It’s a super easy stitch that gives your projects lots of texture.  It’s also versatile enough to produce ribbing and reversible pattern like mine.  This is a fun pattern to play with just to see what you can do with it.

I came across the pattern while browsing Ravelry.  It’s by Fiber Flux which turns out to be an incredible resource for your interested in learning how to crochet or looking to take your fiber arts to the next level.  Fiber Flux has 224 patterns published on Ravelry.  The Fiber Flux You Tube Page has lots of great tutorials on crochet, knitting, embroidery, and even product reviews.  They’re even all neatly organized in playlists!

What I’m saying is, Fiber Flux is a great resource for fiber arts.  Check out their Front Post Double Crochet below, then visit them on You Tube and Ravelry.  If you’re in to Crochet or Knitting, you’ll be so glad you did.  Don’t worry if you forget to.  You’ll be seeing more projects from Fiber Flux posted here.

I used Vanna’s Choice Lions Brand Yarn.  Michael’s was having one of their infamous sales and I had a coupon.  I used a total of 4 skeins, 2 chocolate and 2 rust.  The scarf took two skeins plus of each color.  The Head wrap wasn’t so bad and I have about half of skein left over for each color.  The thickness and length are reasonable for the amount of yarn used.

This project was finished just in time.  It was snowing in Seattle only a few days ago.  This headband and scarf set will be the perfect thing to cuddle while braving the elements.
